Moisturizers that are healthy for you and the environment.
Is winter skin doing you in? Check out the Moisturizers Buying Guide at thegreenguide.com. Not surprisingly Burts Bees makes an appearance while there’s also plenty of new products to get to know. The Green Guide is put together by the folks at National Geographic and includes a wealth of green info. Green Your Beauty Routine

Choose Safer Cosmetics for Your Health!
Did you know that beauty products can contain toxic chemicals? Check out the video at Campaign for Safe Cosmetics to learn more about what is actually in your tube of lipstick.
Also, The Environmental Working Group can help you make informed decisions when trying to choose healthy products. Search for various personal care items using their Cosmetic Database. Beauty products are rated by the following: 0-2 low hazard, 3-6 moderate hazard and 7-10 high hazard. Look up your products to see how they fare for your skin!
I try to get products rated six and under, but must admit that I am still using my same old mascara and deodorant. Recently at Green U, Sophie Uliano recommended to use this database as a guide, but not the sole deciding factor on whether to ditch your goodies. If there is a product you really like, do further detective work.
It can be overwhelming to switch everything at once, so green your routine one product at time. I am wearing Organic Wear foundation, eye shadow and powder with hazard scores all under four and it feels good!
